I have worked at veterinary clinics since 1999. My jobs have included everything from Kennel work, to Veterinary Assistant, Surgery Technician, Weight Loss Coordinator, Office Assistant, and currently Technician Supervisor. I received my certificate for Pet Dog Training from the Animal Behavioral College in 2003 and take every chance I get to further my knowledge and understanding of dogs and dog language. I was also an advisor for a few years at my local 4-H dog group. I enjoy training dogs in the sport of Schutzhund, Search and Rescue, Personal Protection, Agility, Herding, Obedience, and Behavior Modification. Not only do I enjoy dog training and dogs in general, I truly feel that the key to many of our pet problems is education. I want to educate people about dog communication, training, and general care to prevent more dogs from ending up in shelters.
I also enjoy other rescue work. My belief is that animals don't ask for the situations they are put in. I rehab wildlife and abandoned domestic animals. I help rehome needy dogs, volunteer at non-profit organizations whenever possible and try to educate people on a daily basis on the importance of responsible pet ownership.
